Points
of Pride:
- Our annual Fall Fest
where we invite Brookside families to come and enjoy dinner and outdoor
fall activities.
- "Hands on Economics" by third, fourth, and fifth graders - third graders developed assembly lines
and created cars, fourth graders produced goods and sold them to
Brookside customers, and fifth graders earned Hackett money to spend on
materials to create a good or service to sell to their classmates.
- Our Student VIP Wall where each student
received a VIP award during the school year which gets hung up on our
hallway walls for all to see.
- Our walking club logged more than 1,000 miles
during the school year. Students walk during our morning and
afternoon recesses.
- Our Safety Patrol which has served for over 20
years, through wind, rain, sleet, and snow with no accidents or
injuries.
- Brookside is supportive of local food pantries
by donating hundreds of cans of food for needy families.
- Our "March is Reading Month" centered around
poetry. Our second grade students had their annual "Poetry Tea" to
culminate the month long activities.
