Hello Skyward Customer,
Here is some great news for you and the teachers in your district that use EA+! The programming staff at Skyward has been working many overtime hours this past month to produce a number of significant improvements to EA+.
These improvements will be available in PMP 1 that will be available on or about January 27th, 2006. Below is a laundry list of these improvements.
On or before January 15th, we will be providing each of you with tutorials that will explain each of these improvements in detail.
1 - Quick Score option.
1 - This option will present all students and all assignments on single screen for the teachers to enter scores.
2 - We have also been able to lock the student names in position so the assignments can scroll underneath them.
3 – We modified the display so the teacher can readily see all missing assignments.
4 – We modified the Score entry to “uncheck” the missing assignment box when a score is entered.
2 – Report Improvements:
1 - The report navigation has been modified so it takes only 2 clicks to produce a report.
2 - We created a “Report Template” option that will enable teachers to create and save report format parameters.
3 – Skyward has provided a number of “default templates” (that produce routine report formats) that can be used by the teachers.
4 – We added an Assignment Master list that readily shows which assignments have been released to families and students.
3 – “Drop Down” tabs on the Main Screen of GradeBook:
1 - We modified the tabs at the top of the Main screen to be “Drop Down” tabs:
Classes Tab; Attendance Tab; Options Tab and the Reports Tab.
2 - These Drop Down tabs eliminated a lot of unnecessary “clicks”.
4 – “Display Options” and “Report” Drop Down tabs for all Classes”:
We are adding these two tabs on the “Classes” screen.
1- “Display options” for the grade book can be set once and applied to all classes.
2- Reports that apply to all classes can be run with a single click.
5 – Grade Sheet sequence number: We added an option for teachers to sequence their classes in the same order as their manual grade sheets.
6 – Student Selection: On any of the student display options, you can now jump to any student in the class instead of just going Prev/Next.
7 - SURVEY navigation improvements: We added Survey navigation to the main screen and the attendance screens.
8 – Attendance Process changes:
1 – We added a display of the past two weeks of attendance to the Attendance entry screen.
2 – We modified the heading of the attendance column on the main screen to show if attendance has been taken.
3 – We modified the
attendance seating chart to allow for a
variety of seating arrangements.
9 – Family Access
1 - The Family Access screens are being redone to make viewing of the Grades and assignments more “User Friendly”.
2 - The Family Access view for the Teacher will now include an Assignment Listing option that will readily display any assignments that are withheld from the Family view.
10 – We standardized all the “Navigation Buttons”: They will all function identically on every screen.
