Big Rapids High School will
provide students with necessary skills to become productive and
responsible citizens. |
We are members of the Central State
Activities Association and our students enjoy participating in a variety
of sports throughout the year. In the fall, we offer football, boy's and
girl's cross country, boy's tennis, girl's golf, volleyball, boy's
soccer and cheerleading. In the winter, we offer boy's and girl's
basketball, hockey, bowling, wrestling and cheerleading. In the spring
our students play baseball, softball, boy's golf, girl's soccer, boy's
and girl's track, and girl's tennis.
Big Rapids also has a proud tradition
in the arts. Our school is home to a beautiful auditorium
that seats 575. In 1999 we began offering an expanded
drama program and continued with a fine program in the visual
arts and instrumental and vocal music.
We have a number of alternative avenues for
earning credit. Students can dual enroll at Ferris State
University, apply for our Science and Math Center located on the
university campus, test out of classes or earn credit a number of ways
that are not "conventional". We also have two alternative
programs.
For the safety of all students, visitors please
report to the office through the doors nearest the staff parking lot.
The Principal's office is directly ahead as you enter.
