Alek Lipar set a goal last fall to be invited into the Michigan School Vocal Music Association All-State Honors Choir and last weekend, he did just that!
The process is a rigorous one. For the students taking the stage at All-State Honors Choir, their performance marks the culmination of a process that began in the fall. Honors Choir singers auditioned and were selected for Regional Honors Choir, participated in Regional Honors Choir, and at that time auditioned and were accepted into one of three State Honors Choirs. The students that performed in the All-State Festival Honors Choir are in the top tier of students as determined by all adjudicators to represent the best high school singers in the State of Michigan.
Alek will be attending MSU and double majoring in Music Education-Vocal concentration and Vocal Performance. He is graduating this year as the Choir President at Big Rapids High School.
